REFLECTIONS...
We should reflect on our accomplishments during 2011 and contemplate the future of this fine organization as we look forward to 2013. Use the "Beneficiaries" menu link to obtain more information about where our funds go.

During 2011, the men and women of the Sheriff's Posse contributed their energy, their time and they opened their pocketbooks to support many worthy organizations in our community. Each of our events broke attendance records, and our contributions exceeded $200,000. Among those organizations who were recipients of your good works are:                                         

• The Community Youth Center
• The Micki Rainey Scholarship Fund                                                                                             
• East County Boys  Girls Club
• Mesothelioma Research Foundation of America                          
  
• Hospice & Palliative Care
• Contra Costa Comfort for Kids                                                                                              
  
• Food Bank of Contra Costa
• Bay Area Crisis Nursery (to name a few)

Now we begin a new era and say a fond farewell to Former Sheriff Rupf.  He served us all as Sheriff for over 20 years and was an active and engaged President in the Sheriff's Posse.  I intend to do the same.  In fact, as we look toward the future, I will be asking you to provide your input on the future direction of both the Sheriff's Posse and Sheriff's Charities.  Soon a survey will be mailed (or emailed) to you.  Please take a moment to give us your input.  Together we will continue to grow, improve and expand these excellent organizations.
